Welcome Friends!
My name is Nacole. I have been married to the keeper of my heart since 2001 and I am a retired homeschool mother of three amazing adult children. With my third child graduating high school last year, and our homeschooling journey coming to a close, I was fervently seeking the Lord for His direction in my life. I began to become discouraged, as this new season was uncharted territory for me. However, in His great mercy, a still, small voice, reminded me to wait upon the Lord. "The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him." Lamentations 3:25. I felt comforted and began embracing the new season of life I had entered in to. I spent a great deal of my time with my family and in the Scriptures. I caught up on reading books that I hadn't previously had time for, made my very first hand sewn patchwork quilt, with my daughter, took up some gardening, and waited on God for my His plans for me. And in March of 2025, He showed me the next chapter in my story that was about to unfold.

Letters from the Countryside is established
I had not stopped praying for God's will to be done in my life and was asking Him that whatever He would have me do, my desire would be for it to point to Him. I have always embraced the art of writing, whether it be through letters, short stories, journal entries or poetry, but I never would have thought of this new writing adventure on my own. Through a series of events, the dear Lord showed me that I was to start writing letters for Letters from the Countryside. At first I had so many ideas, and I, like I have the tendency so often to do, began to "run the show", so to speak. Becoming overwhelmed with ideas, He patiently waited for me to come back to reality and submit and commit my ways to Him. "Commit thy way unto the Lord; Trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass." Psalm 37:5. He was directing me to do just what He wanted me to, and as I did so, it all began to come together beautifully. After creating Hannah, Faith and the twins, Benjamin and Lilly's stories, Aunt Sybil became a precious addition to Hannah and Faith's letters. I soon understood that Sybil was supposed to have a letter of her own and that she would resonate with whomever read her sweet letters. Then, my precious daughter came to me and requested that I create a character for young women, and from that request, sweet Ellie's letters were created.
What makes Letters from the Countryside different?
Letters from the Countryside are set apart from the rest because they are not letters that go on for a year, and thereafter, those characters are retired and a new story is created. Letters from the Countryside are designed to be continual, meaning, the characters get older, as the years go by. Readers are, in turn, able to build a bond with the characters, as they walk through both highs and lows with them, year after year. It is my hope that the Lord blesses this endevor and He allows me to continue on for many years to come. So welcome, dear friend, to this beautiful community. We pray it is a blessing to all who partake.
